Index Braille proudly presents the 4Waves PRO, a modern heavy duty
production embosser. With its unique module design it has a
significantly higher durability
than any other technology. One of the key
points is continuous braille production even during service.
The 4Waves PRO is the first
embosser in the world based on revolutionary multi-printer design. With
four identical embossing modules it will provide an availability and
production speed that is much higher than any other embosser. The high
speed (1000 pages per hour), the network support, the high-resolution
graphics, the status feedback and the outstanding durability makes it a
class of its own.
New design based based on well known technology
The Index 4Waves PRO is a new concept, built on the
popular and well proven Index Braille technology.
4 embossing units built into one cabinet, internally connected through a local area
network (LAN) with a production capacity of 1000 Pages Per Hour (equals
to app. 300 CPS).
High printing speed in combination to the competitive pricing makes the
Index 4Waves PRO to probably be the most cost efficient production
braille embosser available on the market.
Four Waves in One Line
The 4Waves PRO will
automatically manage simultaneous embossing in the four modules. The
split between documents are automatically handled and controlled by the
system to maintain a continuous printout without any wasted sheets
Example; embossing of a 21 pages document in 2 copies. If one of the
embossing module is removed for maintenance, the 4Waves PRO will
automatically adapt to a three-module system.
Extra Service Module
The 4Waves PRO
simultaneously uses four identical embossing modules. An extra back-up
module is also included in the delivery. If an embossing module would
need maintenance, replace it with the back-up module and continue
embossing. The exchange is made within a few minutes and does not
require any tools. Furthermore the 4Waves PRO can continue to emboss as
long as at least one working module.
Easy installation
Index 4Waves PRO is as simple as the smaller Index embossers to
install.
Install the included WinBraille Braille editor and the system is ready
for volume braille production. It is also easy to set-up in a Network,
using the Network port. Index 4Waves PRO can also be used with older
types of DOS/Windows braille editors.
Continuous production
This modern embosser is designed to last for many years of
continuous braille production with a minimum of maintenance. The open
design gives the user an outstanding supervision of the embossing
process in the 4Waves PRO.
Continuous paper
Index 4Waves PRO is using continuous
paper, a secure and easy way to produce large volumes of braille
documents without unexpected interruptions. Each box of paper contents
1000-1250 pages, which will require to fill up the paper magazine app.
once an hour.
Speech guided control panel
Index 4Waves PRO is controlled by an ink and braille labeled control panel.
Combined with the speech feedback it is easy to operate by
blind and sighted users alike.
The speech can easily be adapted to any local language through our
customized development system.
Effective module service
A replacement embossing module is easily exchanged. It can be
removed from the system for service with only a short pause during the
embossing process. The replacement module will be shipped from our
warehouse in Malaysia within two working days.

WinBraille - free braille editor
As all Index Braille embossers, the Index 4Waves PRO is delivered with
the WinBraille editor, the only fully Windows® based braille editor, to
be used for quick and easy embossing in contracted or normal braille
from Word,
Outlook, Explorer or any popular windows document format.
WinBraille 4.0 is an upgraded
version that supports the new features of Index 4Waves PRO and is now
also including tactile graphic features. You can now in a simple process
edit your own tactile graphic images directly into a document, or import
any existing image files in bitmap or tactile format from other editors.

Note!
There is no paper manufacturer that actually produce "Braille paper".
When requested for Braille paper they normally just re-label their
standard products and mark up the price significantly.
From Index Braille and Accessibility you can order standard paper
suitable for Braille production at standard paper price.
Paper Form Bursters.
When using a large volume production system like the Index 4Waves PRO,
one of the more tedious works is to take care of the produced documents,
separate and sort them. In order to make that process more efficient, a
heavy duty cutting device, popularly called "Form Bursters", which
separates the pages and removes the tractor feeding perforation in one
single operation, is recommended.
Index Braille and Accessibility can provide the preferred cutting
equipment as an add on device.
